Job Description
Analyze customer's business requirement. Provide technical design including data gathering & analysis, process design & commercial.
Coordinate with Land transport manager and Land Transport Branch head, for good business strategy of Land Transport at Myanmar.
Modelling to convert business metrics into transport solutions, including but not limited to network design, channel selection, routing and scheduling, warehouse layout/sizing and productivity/labor planning.
Trucking cost analysis (including fuel usage, maintenance costs, etc.).
Create and update national and domestics distribution mapping in Myanmar based on country situation and market conditions.Â
Ensure smooth handover of successful proposal to operations team.
Manage and organize responses to customers or other members of key Account teams in support of RFQs for land transport and distribution portion.
Develop and maintain a Cost Model for computing trucking and distribution costs.
Update Management on developments in nationwide distribution market on regular basis, and propose development ideas.
Participate in joint calls and customer visits to gather information and to present and represent
Schenker’s distribution capabilities and know-how.
Support the preparation of Investment Applications for trucking related assets and resources.
Other tasks as may be assigned by Land Transport Branch Head.
Maintain and follow company rules, regulations and Health, Safety and Environmental Standards
Requirement
Minimum 5 years' experience in Logistic & Supply Chain, especially transport solutions or procurement
Ability to present in Burmese and English
Experience with Transport Management Systems
Experience with ERP
Capability to think creative idea in term of land transport and domestic distribution.
Deep and wide knowledge of logistics operations, customer solutions and advanced modelling/costing techniques
Strong business acumen and result-focus and strong presentation skills
Ability to work in a dynamic environment in Myanmar, multi-tasking, and making appropriate assumptions with uncertain/insufficient information.
Highly responsible, initiative, proactive, and able to coordinate and motivate people and to work as a team under pressure.Â
